Echo Moiré graphic score
This edition is a graphic score representing a choreography of sound in space as a boxed set of five limited edition riso prints. Overlayed on the trajectories followed by a pair of robotic loudspeakers are the parameters of the sounds which they emit.
The score was first created for iii’s publication Blueprint #2: Echo Moire´ (coming May 2024), which contains all the information necessary to recreate the instrument and perform the work. This edition allows the scores to be appreciated in a larger format.
Echo Moiré is a robotic opera-ballet in which a pair of loudspeaker vehicles is employed to play a room as a musical instrument. Exploring the acoustic properties of the room, the vehicles create aural images that float in the air, enveloping listeners with patterns of echoes rebounding off the walls.
